Do I have to pay Council Tax while I am a student?

If you are a full-time student you should not normally have to pay Council Tax. If your partner is a student you may be able to get Council Tax Benefit.

See the DWP frequently asked questions section on Council Tax Benefit and the 2006/07 NUS leaflet - Students & the Council Tax for more information.
