Disabled children

In the UK there are 770,000 disabled children under the age of 16, 98% of whom live at home supported by their families. Financially these children are more likely to live in poverty than non disabled children but it costs three times as much to raise a disabled child. So what government support is there for these children and their families?

As well as our sections on Benefits and Tax credits there is also useful information of other practical help and support available for disabled children and their parents on GOV.UK.
