Tax essentials is designed so that you can either pick out a specific topic you are interested in or if you prefer you can follow through the stages starting what income is taxable or tax free. We then move on to understanding your tax allowances or special allowances and how tax rates work together with a section on how your tax is collected. We also look at some simple examples so that you can see how your tax bill is made up. Finally we cover briefly how self assessment works and provide more information on different types of saving income and how they are taxed. |
