Tax Credits were introduced in April 2003. Since then, claimants and advisers alike have struggled to deal with the complexities of the system.
There are two tax credits – working tax credit (WTC) and child tax credit (CTC) both administered by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
Our advisers section is for those who help others with tax credits as well as claimants who want to find out more detailed information about tax credits. Over the coming weeks we will be adding a section for claimants which will include a series of factsheets explaining the basic rules about tax credits.
