Response to call for evidence from Scotland Bill Committee

The Scotland Bill proposes a Scottish income tax derived from reducing the UK rates by 10 pence and giving the Scottish Parliament the power to add a fixed amount on to each of the basic, higher and additional rates. As our mandate is to represent the interests of the low-income unrepresented taxpayer, our sole concern with the Scotland Bill is with the likely effect on that constituency of introducing a Scottish rate of income tax.
