Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT)

The CIOT is the leading professional body for tax professionals in the UK, dealing with all aspects of taxation. We have over 700 volunteers, many of whom are CIOT members, across a range of areas with opportunities to suit different skills and experience.

You can find out more about volunteering opportunities at CIOT, current vacancies and how to apply for both technical and non-technical volunteer roles in our guidance for prospective volunteers

At present, LITRG do not have any direct volunteering opportunities but we are always happy to hear about people’s experiences of the tax system that can feed into our work. You can share your experiences through our contact us form.

Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT)

Association of Taxation Technician members can read about volunteering for them on the ATT website. There are numerous opportunities across the ATT to suit all levels of skills and experience.

TaxAid

The tax charity TaxAid delivers much of its work through volunteers including helpline volunteers, case workers and community volunteers. You can find more information on the TaxAid website.
