HMRC’s online community forums are closing!
HMRC’s online customer forums will close on 30 June 2025. If you like to use the forums, make sure you get any remaining queries in by the beginning of June.

HMRC have announced the closure of its customer (and agent) online forums, effective 30 June 2025. Although some people may find posting a question in the forums much easier and more convenient than other ways of contacting them, HMRC have said:
You can find our guidance on using the customer forums, HMRC’s digital assistant and webchat in the Getting help from HMRC section of our website.
Our guidance will be updated with more information about the exact scope of HMRC’s social media channels to answer queries, if and when this becomes available. In the meantime, we can point you to a GOV.UK page which briefly sets out HMRC’s current social media options for customers. In it, they also set out what they expect from you and what you can expect from them.
